France reach last 16 as Kylian Mbappe’s brace beats Denmark

KATHMANDU: France, the previous World CUP winner, defeated Denmark and entered the knockout stage before one match.

France defeated Denmark 2-1 on Saturday night and made it to the last 16.

Kylian Mbappe scored both goals in France’s victory. He scored the first goal in the 61st minute and scored the second goal in the 86th minute.

Before that, in the 68th minute, Andreas Christensen equalized with a goal for Denmark. But after Mbappe added another goal, Denmark became disappointed.

France, which is in Group D, entered the knockout stage with its second win in a row. Earlier, they defeated Australia 4-1 in the first match.
