Kapilvastu 2: NC’s Acharya elected
Acharya defeated Brijesh Kumar Gupta of CPN-UML.
KATHMANDU: Surendra Raj Acharya of Nepali Congress has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives of Kapilvastu Constituency No. 2.
Acharya defeated Brijesh Kumar Gupta of CPN-UML. While he won with 39,014 votes, Gupta who was defeated got 38,697 votes.
Similarly, Sudhakar Pandey of Nepali Congress has been elected in Kapilvastu-2 State Assembly 2. He was elected by 891 votes.
Pandey secured 14,185 votes. His closest rival Dharma Bahadur Lal Srivastava of UML got 13,394 votes.
