PM Deuba & Prachanda meets: Discussion on political developments

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal met today (Prachanda).

According to Chairperson Dahal’s Secretariat, today’s meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar focused on the results of the elections and the political developments that have occurred thus far.

This meeting, which took place as election results were being announced and the ruling partner Nepali Congress and the Maoist Center formed an alliance in the House of Representatives and State Assembly member elections, is seen as a precursor to future collaboration.

According to the preliminary results, the Nepali Congress and the Maoist Center have won 39 direct House of Representatives seats.
