Leader Basnet accepted defeat with grace and congratulated the victorious Congress’ Kedar Karki.
He ran for state assembly member from Morang Constituency NNo. 6 (B), but was defeated by Kedar Karki of the Congress Party. Leader Basnet, on the other hand, accepted defeat and congratulated Karki at the polling place.
During that time, he went to people’s homes and asked them to be there for them in their joys and sorrows. There have been numerous complaints about not reaching people’s homes the last time. Now go to people’s homes and be a friend to both happiness and sorrow.’ ‘I said that when I go among the people, I will become a helper of the people,’ he told Karki.
