Qatar lost the first match against Ecuador by 2-0 and in the second match they lost 3-1 against Senegal.
In Group A, the Netherlands and Ecuador are tied at 4-4 points, so even if Qatar wins their last match, the possibility of making it to the knockout stage is over. In addition, the host Qatar has become the first country to be eliminated from the group stage of this World Cup.
