KATHMANDU: Sarad Singh Bhandari of Mahottari 2 Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) has won.
Sarad Singh Bhandari, the candidate of the LSP from Mahottari 2, was elected as a member of the House of Representatives.
Bhandari was elected by defeating his nearest competitor Bijay Kumar Singh of Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party by a margin of 14,700 votes.
Bhandari got 25,190 votes while his closest competitor Singh got 11,120 votes.
Similarly, CPN-UML’s Ram Tisara Yadav got 10,258 votes, Janamat Party’s Umesh Kumar Yadav got 5,971 votes and Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Pawan Kumar Jha secured only 360 votes.
