Gokul Baskota elected from Kavre-2

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Gokul Prasad Baskota has been elected from Kavrepalanchowk’s House of Representatives Constituency No. 2.

Baskota won by defeating Shiva Prasad Humagain, the candidate of the Nepali Congress on behalf of the ruling 5-party alliance, by 5,863 votes.

Baskota obtained 45,345 votes while Humagain secured 39,482 votes.
