Udayapur 1: State Assembly (a) Maoist Rajan Kirati victorious

KATHMANDU: Maoist’s Rajan Kirati has won in Udayapur 1 State Assembly (A). CPN-Maoist Center candidate Rajan Kirati was elected from Udayapur Constituency No. 1 State Assembly (A).

He defeated Kushal Babu Basnet of CPN-UML by a margin of 1,243 votes.

According to the final vote results, Kirati secured 15,092 votes while Basnet obtained 13, 849 votes.

RPP’s Subhash Chandra Khadka obtained 2,679 votes and came in third place.
