Rautahat 1: Madhav Kumar Nepal emerge victorious

KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal, the former Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (United Socialists), who was a candidate for the ruling coalition as a member of the House of Representatives in Rautahat Constituecy No. 1, has won.

Chairperson Nepal defeated UML’s Ajay Gupta by a margin of 7,000 votes.

Madhav Nepal garnered 33,522 votes while Gupta secured 26,522 votes.
