Jeevan Acharya elected from Morang-6 (A)

KATHMANDU: He was elected as a member of the State Assembly after defeating Rita Neupane of CPN-UML.

Acharya defeated Neupane by 1,882 votes.

While Acharya got 19,454 votes, his nearest rival Neupane of UML got 17,572 votes.

Acharya was defeated by Chum Narayan Tabdar of Nepali Congress in the 2074 election.

After that, Acharya Pushpa Kamal Dahal worked in Prachanda’s private secretariat. He is Prachanda’s son-in-law.
