Unified Socialist’s Shrestha elected from Bara-4

KATHMANDU: Krishna Kumar Shrestha, the CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate, was elected to Bara’s House of Representatives Constituency No. 4.

Shrestha’s victory was secure even before the final votes were counted.

Shrestha, a former labor minister, is also the ruling coalition’s common candidate.

Shrestha secured 20,091 votes. His competitor Ekbal Miya of CPN-UML secured 13,863 votes.

It remains to be announced.
