Bardiya-2: Resham Chaudhary’s father Lalbir Chaudhary triumphs from independent

KATHMANDU: Lalbir Chaudhary, an independent candidate for the member of the House of Representatives, has won in Bardiya Constituency No. 2.

He has won by defeating Suresh Pantha of CPN-Maoist Center by 136 votes from the alliance.

Chaudhary won by getting 26,520 votes while the closest rival Maoist secured 26,354 votes.

Similarly, Pankaja Singh Rathore of CPN-UML secured 16 thousand 90 votes.

Binay Rawal of RPP secured 13,292 votes.

Bijiyi Chaudhary is the father of Resham Chaudhary. After the cancellation of Resham’s candidature, the Nagarik Unmukti Party nominated the independent candidate.

According to the election office, 92,199 votes were cast while there were one lakh fifty two thousand sixty two voters in Constituency No. 2
