CPN (UML)’s Pachhai wins State Assembly seat in Jumla

KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) candidate Tek Raj Pachhai has won the election to the Member of the State Assembly from Jumla State Assembly constituency-2.

Pachhai secured 7,826 votes while his closest competitor Padam Bahadur Rokaya, a common candidate of the ruling alliance, got 6,715 votes, Chief Returning Officer, Bishnu Prasad Gautam, said.

Rokaya of the CPN (Unified Socialist) is the Karnali Province Government’s minister for physical infrastructure and urban development.

Dhan Bahadur Basnet, an independent candidate got 4,165 votes and Birkha Bahadur Rawat of the Nepal Workers Peasants’ Party (NWPP) bagged 1,202 votes.
