Saudi Arabia’s historic win over Argentina

Saudi Arabia’s Saleh Alshehri equalized in the 48th minute. With a goal in the 53rd minute, Alshehri’s teammate Salem Aldawsari extended Saudi Arabia’s lead.
After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, the KSA made a great second-half comeback and got off to a good start.
Argentina took the lead in the ninth minute of the game with a penalty, but they were unable to hold on in the second half and were eliminated from the World Cup.
After a Saudi Arabian player committed a foul inside the penalty box in the ninth minute of the game, the referee awarded Argentina a penalty with the assistance of VAR. In the 10th minute of the game, captain Lionel Messi did not squander a penalty opportunity.
Argentina scored three goals in the Saudi posts during the match, but the referee failed to recognize the goals by ruling offside.
Salem Aldawsari scored five minutes later to make the score 2-1.
Despite making a good move in the game, Argentina was forced to lose as they were unable to break the Saudi defense line.
