Morang 3: Sunil Sharma’s lead remains, Rekha Thapa third
Sharma of the Nepali Congress has secured 3,132 of the 6,356 votes of the members of the House of Representatives counted.
KATHMANDU: Dr. Sunil Sharma’s lead in Morang Constituency No. 3 remains unchanged.
Sharma of the Nepali Congress has secured 3,132 of the 6,356 votes of the members of the House of Representatives counted.
Former CPN-UML minister Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal got 1,573 votes. RPP’s Rekha Thapa got 960 votes.
97 thousand 468 votes were cast in the constituency with a total of 149 thousand 833 voters. In this constituency, there are 26 wards of Pathari Shanishchare Municipality- 8, Belbari Municipality- 8, Sundarharaicha Municipality- 6 and Kanepokhari Rural Municipality- 4.
Counting of votes will be done in three places.
Election officer Ramhari Kafle informed that the counting of votes has started in one place for the proportional representation of the federal government and one place each for states ‘A’ and ‘B’.
Former minister Dhakal from CPN-UML, Sharma from Congress and Rekha Thapa, leader and actress of RPP, are competing in this region where there are 31 candidates for members of the House of Representatives.
