Maoist in Morang 4 & independent in 5 consistently ahead

BIRATNAGAR: The CPN-Maoist Center has maintained its lead in Morang Constituency No. 4. CPN Maoist Center candidate Aman Lal Modi has got 7,199 votes.
Modi’s rival Binod Dhakal of CPN-UML got 4967 votes. When 13,918 votes were counted, 766 votes were invalidated.
Similarly, while 13,902 votes were counted in Constituency No. 4910, CPN-UML’s Jai Prakash Chaudhary got 5440 votes, while Nepali Congress’s Gururaj Ghimire secured 5,914 votes. RPP’s Aash Narayan Tharu secured 1,018 votes, according to the election officer’s office.
Similarly, Yogendra Mandal, an independent candidate, has maintained his lead by getting 6281 votes in Constituency No. 5. He is being contested by CPN Maoist Center candidate Shiv Kumar Mandal. While Mandal got 4294 votes, JSP’s Raj Kumar Yadav got 3,972 votes and is in third place.
Gayanand Mandal of Nepali Congress secured 8,798 votes while UML’s Santosh Kumar Sah secured 6,738 votes in Constituency No. 5.
