KATHMANDU: The Janamat Party has made a winning start in the Madhesh State Assembly.
Mahesh Yadav of the Janamat Party was elected in Saptari 2 (2) with 13,325 votes.
Yadav defeated Umesh Yadav, the Maoist Center’s candidate who was backed by the ruling coalition.
He secured only 7,023 votes.
