BIRATNAGAR: Rajendra Kumar Rai has maintained his lead in Dhankuta.
CPN-UML candidate Rai maintained his lead with 5511 votes. Sunil Bahadur Thapa of Nepali Congress received 4373 votes.
Independent candidate Fish (symbol) secured 543 votes.
CPN-UML has also taken the lead in State 1 and 2 of Dhankuta district.
Niran Rai of the UML is leading with 2981 votes in Dhankuta State Constituency 1, while Rakam Chemjong of the JSP is close behind.
While Chemjong got 1793 votes, Arjun Kumar Rai of CPN United Samajwadi is in third place with 1099 votes.
Similarly, Indramani Parajuli of CPN-UML has secured 2,887 votes in state Constituency No. 2, while Kusum Kumari Shrestha of Maoist is following Parajuli with 2,047 votes.
