Bhaktapur-2: Mahesh Basnet could not surpass Thapa, a difference of 1300 votes

KATHMANDU: Durlav Thapa of Nepali Congress has maintained his lead in Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2.

He has secured 12,053 votes. His nearest rival, Mahesh Basnet of CPN-UML, has secured 10,762 votes.

In the previous election, UML’s Basnet was elected in this region. This year, the competition in this field is becoming interesting.
