Barsaman leads in Rolpa

KATHMANDU: Barsaman Pun, the CPN-Maoist candidate from the Left Democratic Alliance, has taken the lead in Rolpa’s House of Representatives election in the counting of votes in the HoR and State Assembly elections held on Sunday.
Pun has secured 690 votes, with 1,160 votes already counted.
Purna Budhamagar, a CPN-UML candidate, secured 280 votes.
Dipendra Kumar Pun Sijal, an independent candidate, has taken the lead in the State Assembly (2).
Independent candidate Sijal secured 144 votes out of 301 cast.
Amar Singh Pun of the Nepali Congress secured 79 votes, while Prem Bahadur Gharti Magar of the CPN UML secured 68 votes.
Similarly, in State 1, CPN-Maoist coalition candidate Jog Bahadur Mahara secured 370 votes, while UML candidate Kamal Bahadur Budhathoki secured 106 votes out of 605 total votes countedVo.
