KATHMANDU: Munindra Jung Gurung of the Congress Party has been elected to the Manang State Assembly (A). He won by a margin of 330 votes over UML’s Rajan Gurung.
Munindra secured 1,255 votes, while Rajan secured only 925 votes.
There were 2,210 votes cast in this poll. Six votes were declared invalid by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer. RPP secured 23 votes in this district.
Rajiv Gurung, also known as Deepak Manange, was unanimously elected to the State Assembly. The votes of members of the House of Representatives are being counted.
In the House of Representatives, Tek Bahadur Gurung of Congress and Polden Chopang Gurung of UML are competing.
