NC’s Sherchan won in Mustang State Assembly (B)

POKHARA: The Nepali Congress candidate also won the Mustang State Assembly (B).

Sherchan defeated Chandra Mohan Gauchan of the CPN-UML by 158 votes.

Sherchan received 2,723 votes, while Gauchan received 2,565 votes. 55 votes were invalidated in this case. Gauchan is the current Member of Parliament who is stepping down. Mustang has been swept clean by Congress. While Yogesh Gauchan Thakali was elected to the House of Representatives, UML’s Prem Tulachan was defeated.

When Namdu Gurung was elected to the State Assembly (A), the UML’s Indradhara was soundly defeated.
