KATHMANDU: Vote counting has begun in Dhankuta.
Although it was stated that counting would begin at 1 a.m., counting began lately at 2:50 p.m.
The votes of Mahalaxmi Municipality and Chaubise Rural Municipality will counted first.
According to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, the results will be announced after counting the votes in each ward.
There, it appears that Sunil Bahadur Thapa of the ruling coalition, Rajendra Rai of the CPN-UML, and independent candidate Hemraj Bhandari will face off.
