KATHMANDU: Vote counting has also begun in Manang, a district in the Himalayas. The counting began on Monday afternoon.
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, counting began after Manang’s Narpa Bhumi’s ballot boxes were dropped by helicopter.
In Manang, 4 thousand 845 votes were cast.
Outgoing UML MP Polden Chopang Gurung and Congress candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung are competing in Manang.
As there aren’t many votes, the outcome of the vote is expected to be announced soon.
