Election Commission: Vote counting is underway in 30 of 165 constituencies

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) reports that vote counting is underway in 30 of the 165 House of Representatives constituencies.

Among the places where voting is taking place, the counting of votes in Bhaktapur 2 has been delayed for a while. The JEOC has informed that the counting of votes was halted due to a disagreement over valid and invalid votes, but that the counting has begun following an all-party agreement.
Likewise, the dispute erupted in Ilam when the ballots of the HoR were not counted after they were found into the boxes of the State Assembly.
An all-party meeting is currently taking place to count votes. The all-party meeting agreed that approximately 100 ballots dropped in the State Assembly box would be counted for the state.
