KATHMANDU: Wales midfielder Joe Allen will miss the tournament’s opening match in Qatar. Allen will miss the first World Cup match due to a hamstring injury.
Wales will start the World Cup today against the USA on Monday. Wales will face Iran on Friday and England on Oct 29.
Allan, 32, was Wales’ main player at the Eurocup.
He hasn’t played since Sept 17, though.
