Election was not as expected, 60 percent of the votes were hardly cast
While previous elections were exciting, the current elections were deemed disappointing.

KATHMANDU: There was enthusiasm among voters in previous elections, but no such enthusiasm was seen in the current elections.
The current election did not yield the same number of votes as the previous one. Young voter turnout was extremely low.
While previous elections were exciting, the current elections were deemed disappointing. The enthusiasm for the current election of the House of Representatives and the State Assembly was very low.
The previous election saw a 70 percent vote loss, but this election is expected to see a 60 percent vote loss. Due to voter dissatisfaction, it is estimated that fewer votes were cast this time.
According to reports, the vote was also low due to the CPN, led by Netra Bikram Chand Biplav, who boycotted the election. More than that, the youth were disappointed in the candidate, who developed the impression that even if he won, nothing would happen, so that this time the voters saw disappointment rather than enthusiasm.
The election of representatives and the state assembly took place in two stages in 2074. The two-phase elections on Nov 26 and Dec 7 received 68.67 percent of the vote. Now, it appears that only about 60% of the votes were cast, though the current percentage of lost votes is yet to be determined.
In the 2070 elections, 78.34 percent of the votes were cast. In the May 13 local elections, approximately 70% of the votes were cast.
