Ballot box broken in Kaski, one arrested

POKHARA: Voters in Kaski have broken the ballot boxes. Surya Pariyar, a CPN majority activist, broke the ballot box at Tare Barah Basic School Lumre polling station in Kaski’s Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality.

Pariyar, 32, of Ward 9 of the same municipality, lifted the ballot box and threw it on the ground after voting.

Voting was temporarily halted after he broke the ballot box. Voting has now resumed. Pariyar, the man who broke the ballot box, was apprehended by police.
