Postponed Budhiganga’s Karaiya Devisthan polling booth resumes

BIRATNAGAR: Voting has started after about 3 hours at Devisthan polling station located in Karaiya of Budhiganga Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 of Morang.
Following the 9 a.m. explosion, voting was postponed.
At the polling station, there was a loud explosion. The voters fled after hearing the explosion, according to Chief District Officer Kanshiraj Dahal, and the polling, which had been postponed, resumed.
He stated that the incident is being investigated and that voting has resumed. The Nepali Army conducted a search operation in the areas surrounding the polling station, removing the crowd and restoring normalcy to the situation. Karaiya polling station has 2,950 voters.
Dahal stated that voting began once the work of collecting votes cast was completed.
