No election excitement in Lumphabung (photos included)
Although voting is still taking place here, the public's enthusiasm is not as strong as it is at the local level.
KATHMANDU: Voting for members of the House of Representatives and the State Assembly will continue for the next five years.
Voting for the selection of 275 members of the House of Representatives and 550 members of the State Assembly began at 7 am.
Voting will continue in a single phase in all 77 districts of the country until 5 p.m. The Election Commission reports that 1 crore 79 lakh 88 thousand 570 voters have the right to vote in the election.
However, there is little excitement at the Lumphabung polling station in Panchthar’s Phidim Municipality 9.
Although voting is still taking place here, the public’s enthusiasm is not as strong as it is at the local level.
Ward Chairperson Ganga Rai stated that only 900 people will vote in this constituency, which had 1145 votes cast at the local level. According to Rai, unlike in 2074, there is no local enthusiasm in this election.
