Voting gets halted due to sound of explosion in Budhiganga

BIRATNAGAR: Voting has been halted at a polling station in Morang’s Budhiganga Rural Municipality-1.

Kanshiraj Dahal, Chief District Officer of Morang, informed that polling had been halted due to a loud explosion. Voting at the Karaiya Devisthan Center in Budhiganga Rural Municipality 1 has been postponed.

After a loud noise was heard at the polling place, Dahal informed that the polling was immediately postponed. There was a rush among the voters after the sound of the explosion. Following the explosion, voting there has been postponed.

Dahal stated that voting was halted as voters fled in fear that the bomb was made exploded. He stated that the incident is being investigated and that plans are being made to resume voting.
