KATHMANDU: Voting in one election center of Jhapa has been halted.

The problem arose when one voter cast the ballot directly for the state in the federation and the state itself.

Tulsi Nepal, the Jhapa Election Officer, stated that the dispute arose after the polling officer got confused and gave voter the same ballot paper, and the voter dropped the state’s direct ballot paper into the federation’s ballot box.

He informed that the voting was blocked at the ‘C’ polling station of Bal Nikunja Secondary School of Shivasatakshi Municipality-10 under Jhapa Constituency No-4.
