KATHMANDU: Dr. Shekhar Koirala of the Nepali Congress voted at the Adarsha Secondary School polling station in Biratnagar.
Speaking to journalists after the voting, he stated that a coalition government will be formed under the leadership of the Nepali Congress.
He stated that the Nepali Congress will seek coalition government leadership, but he will know later whether he will do so.
He also stated that if the government fails to provide governance, be transparent, accountable to the people, and reduce corruption, another government will be formed.
He stated that the current alliance will be present, and that they may meet with other parties that can be reconciled based on the election results. He claimed that UML will come in second or third place, with Congress coming in first.
He stated that today’s election will send a message of constitutional protection, political stability, reduced corruption, and good governance.
