Chartered flights only today, international flights to be regular

KATHMANDU: There will be no domestic flights in the country on House of Representatives and State Assembly election days. Only domestic chartered flights will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport, according to the airport office.

Tara Air received permission for four chartered flights on Sunday, according to airport office spokesperson Teknath Sitaula.

According to reports, Tara Air will operate a chartered flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.

There will be some helicopter rescue flights, according to the airport. According to airport spokesperson Sitaula, there are regular international flights.

Flights have been operated by 20 domestic air service providers, including 11 helicopter companies.
