2 arrested for election campaigning during silence period
Sahabir Ahmed, 45, of Jagarnathpur Rural Municipality-4 in Parsa, and Suraj Sah, 21, of Sindhuli Dudhauli-9, were arrested.
KATHMANDU: Police in Parsa have arrested two people on charge of campaigning during the silent period.
Sahabir Ahmed, 45, of Jagarnathpur Rural Municipality-4 in Parsa, and Suraj Sah, 21, of Sindhuli Dudhauli-9, were arrested.
They were arrested after the team of Nepali Army patrolling Kalikamai Rural Municipality-1 Mudali of the district found 4 fake ballot papers and swastika stamps while checking the vehicle (Ba 14 Ch 4748) on Saturday afternoon.
The army apprehended them and turned them over to the police.
Pokhariya police are holding them in Parsa.
