Chitwan 3: Where ten candidates not allowed to vote for themselves

CHITWAN: Ten candidates will be unable to vote themselves in Chitwan-3, where CPN Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has left.

Election Office Bharatpur said that 13 Chitwan candidates will be unable to vote for themselves. Whereas, 10 candidates are only from Chitwan Constituency No. 3.

According to the Election Office Bharatpur, one person from Chitwan Constituency No. 1, two candidates from 2 and ten candidates from 3 will be unable to vote for themselves in House of Representatives members.

Among those who could not vote themselves in Chitwan Constituency No. 3 are independent candidate Chandra Bilash Adhikari from Bharatpur-10, Jita Baral of National Independent Party from Kaski-3 Pokhara, independent candidate Nandaraj Upadhyay from Jumla-4 in Tila Rural Municipality, Nawaraj Ghale of Rastriya Nagar Party from Bharatpur-2, Padma Bahadur Thapa Magar of Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party from Ichchhakamana-7, Faindrajung Gurung of Mongol National Organization from Bharatpur-11, Badri Silwal an independent candidate from Rapti-2.

Similarly, Bhimsen Basnet, an independent candidate from Ichchhakamana-5, Sumitra Rai Giri, an independent candidate from Bharatpur-10, and Hari Tamang, an independent candidate from Bharatpur-2, are unable to vote.

Ajay Kumar Hazam, the JSP Nepal candidate for Chitwan Constituency No. 1, is unable to vote for himself. In the election office, his permanent address is listed as Bahudarmai Municipality -9, Parsa.

Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and independent candidate Sudarshan Pradhan from Chitwan Constituency No. 2 are ineligible to vote. Because their polling station is also located outside of Chitwan.
