Aayan Khan of UAE named ODI-series’ best player
Aayan was awarded a cash prize of Rs.50,000.
KATHMANDU: Aayan Afzal Khan, who played the first one-day international series for the UAE, was named the series’ best player.
The home team Nepal won the three-match one-day international cricket series against the visiting UAE team, and Aayan, who impressed in both bowling and batting, was named best player.
Aayan was awarded a cash prize of Rs.50,000.
Nepal was defeated by 84 runs in the first match of the series on Friday, with Aayan taking four wickets. In his debut game, he took four wickets and allowed 14 runs in ten overs. Aayan, who bowled 30 overs in the three series matches, scored 74 runs with 10 maidens.
He scored 26 points in each of the series’ three games. With 2 and 54, he scored a total of 82 runs. Aayan batted at number eight in today’s crucial match and scored an unbeaten half-century of 54 runs.
