KATHMANDU: Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has announced that he will donate his body parts posthumously.

He signed an agreement expressing his desire to donate organs such as his kidney, heart, lung, liver, pancreas, and small intestine.

“I have volunteered to donate my body parts—kidney, heart, lung, liver, pancreas, and small intestine—to be transplanted into anyone in need. This agreement has been written in accordance with Clause 16 (1) (B) of the Human Body Organ Transplantation (Regulation and Prohibition) Act, 2055 “Read the contract.

According to the minister’s secretariat, my announcement means that I will provide a new life to anyone in need by donating my body organs posthumously.
