KATHMANDU: A bomb exploded during the ruling coalition’s election meeting. A bomb exploded in Tiwari Bhanjyang, Bhojpur, where the ruling coalition was holding its election meeting.

According to the District Police Office Bhojpur, a bomb exploded near the election assembly in Tiwari Bhanjyang, Pauwadumma Rural Municipality, on Wednesday.

One person was injured when a bomb was detonated near an election assembly. The injured are being treated at Tiwari Bhanjyang’s health post, said Police.

Following the explosion, one person was arrested and further investigation is underway, according to police.

DSP Sharat Bahadur Thapa of the District Police Office Bhojpur has stated that security has been tightened following the bomb explosion.
