POKHARA: Ramji Baral, the ruling coalition’s candidate for Kaski Constituency No. 3, has been sued.

A complaint has been filed alleging that his name is on the government’s blacklist and that such people are ineligible to vote.

A complaint has been filed against him with the Chief Electoral Officer’s office. Kabodraj Subedi of Pokhara 24 lodged a complaint against him. Baral was blacklisted for failing to repay government agency loans.

The Youth and Small Business Self-Employment Fund appears to have blacklisted them in Magh 2076.

Gandaki Machhapuchhre Cooperative Society in Pokhara Naya Bazar, which is affiliated with Baral, received a loan of 50 million rupees from the fund. It was blacklisted after failing to receive notice that the principal and interest were due by the end of June 2073. The blacklist includes the names of 15 people, including him.
