KATHMANDU: Suryaman Dong ‘Laldhwaj’, a member of the CPN-Maoist Center Politburo and former Minister of State for Energy, the Left Democratic Alliance’s common candidate in Kavre Constituency No. 1, has sought votes from UML candidate Resham Lama and his election campaign team.

Laldhwaj sought votes on Tuesday in Panauti Municipality Ward No. 5 Chaukot from the campaign team, which included UML candidate Resham Lama. Dong, the Left Democratic Alliance’s common candidate, urged UML leaders and workers to reconsider and vote for him in order to build a better and more developed Kavre.

Among the UML leader and Constituent Assembly member Ramhari Subedi and leaders and activists, Dong asked to cast votes for the protection and stability of the constitution.

He stated that he believes UMLs who support permanence and development will vote for him.

He went on to say that the UML leaders, including Resham, have descended to the lowest level and resorted to abuse, and that he is not a person of that nature. He added, “Election is a process, and I have full faith that my friends who support the constitution will complete this process by voting for me.”
