Nepal fail to chase 264 against UAE

KATHMANDU: Nepal lost to UAE in the first one-day international cricket match. Nepal was defeated by 84 runs in the match held on Monday at the TU Cricket ground in Kirtipur.

Dipendra Singh Airee and Arjun Saud scored half-centuries for Nepal. Airee scored 54 runs from 84 balls and Saund scored 51 runs from 79 balls.
Gulsan Jha scored 19 runs, while Aarif Shaikh scored 12. Other players were unable to reach double figures. Ayan Afzal Khan took four wickets for the UAE, Basil Hameed two, and Zahoor Khan, Rohan Mustafa, and Ahmed Raza one each.
Earlier, after loosing toss and choose to bat, UAE scored 263 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Rohan Mustafa scored 53 points for the UAE, Muhammad Wasim 44 points, Vritya Arvind 40 points, Alishan Sarfu 29 points, Ahmed Raja 27 points, and Aayan Afzal Khan 26.
Similarly, Gulsan Jha took two wickets for Nepal, while Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee each took one.
The second match between Nepal and the UAE will now take place on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the TU Cricket Ground.
