Hari Kafle, the UML leader, was beaten on the head at the Mango Resort in Chyangli on Sunday night. According to Gorkha police spokesperson DSP Lilaraj Lamichhane, 7 stitches were placed on his head.
According to the source, the group that carried out the beating was also a member of the UML. Two Youth Association members were arrested for their involvement in the beating. Ram Prasad Sapkota of Bhanu-3, Tanahun, and Ajit Panta of Byas-11, currently residing in Byas-3, were both arrested.
According to information provided by the Gorkha police, they had a mutual disagreement while eating together. According to the preliminary investigation, they were hit on the head with a beer bottle after drinking together at the same table.
The injured Hari is a UML state committee member.
According to police, Gorkha 2 candidate Abdus Mia was also sleeping in the same hotel at the time of the incident. Deepak Tamang was also slightly injured in the incident, according to the police.
