KATHMANDU: Only four days remain for political parties and candidates to conduct electioneering for the Nov 20 House of Representatives and State Assembly Member elections.

Section 13 of the Election Code of Conduct established Nov 3 to 17 as the dates for conducting election campaign activities such as rallies, mass assemblies, corner assemblies, meetings, and gatherings by political parties, candidates, sister organizations of the parties, and related people.

The so-called election silence period begins at midnight on Nov 17, and election campaigning is prohibited thereafter.

The Election Commission has stated that the Election Code of Conduct is being followed and that action is being taken in cases where it is violated.
