Astalaxmi Shakya has been active in the communist movement since 2027.

From the 10th Congress Convention, she has also become the vice chairperson of CPN-UML. She has decided not to run for the upcoming House of Representatives and State Assembly elections. However, she said that she will remain politically active in politics.

Shakya, who became the first woman Chief Minister of the Republic of Nepal (of Bagmati State), was given the opportunity to run the government as Chief Minister for about two and a half months. She claims that he will now be active in expanding the party’s organization, as well as writing and creating historical documents.
