POKHARA: The candidate who ran on behalf of RPP Nepal has been expelled from the party after deciding to support the alliance.

Those who had nominated on behalf of RPP Nepal Gorkha had inactivate their candidature on Saturday saying that they would support the Maoist and Congress candidates.

According to RPP Nepal, Gorkha 2 (a) candidate E Subodh Basnet and Gorkha 2 (b) candidate Safidin Mia withdrew their candidacies against the party’s wishes and supported the alliance candidate.

Chairperson Kul Bahadur Basnet informed them that they had been expelled from the party, and the RPP Nepal has decided to back the UML candidate in that area.

RPP Nepal issued a statement urging everyone to vote for Raju Rana in 2 (a) and Basanta Gurung in 2 (b) (b).

It was previously agreed to assist UML in Gorkha 1 and RPR Nepal in Gorkha 2. The district would feel the change if the candidates supported the candidate of the coalition party rather than RPP Nepal, and the candidature would be deactivated.
