Paul Shah appeal to High Court against the judgment of District Court, Nawalpur

KATHMANDU: Paul Shah has appealed to the Pokhara High Court.

Actor Paul Shah, who was found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor by the Nawalpur District Court, has filed an appeal with the Pokhara High Court.

He is currently serving two and a half years in Tanahun prison.

According to Shah’s lawyer, Kamala Mohan Wagle, a petition was filed in the High Court on Friday demanding that the district court’s verdict be overturned and he be acquitted. The case is identified as Registration 079 (CS) 0312.

The Nawalpur court convicted Shah of raping a minor and sentenced him to two and a half years in prison, a Rs 25,000 fine, and Rs 10 lakh in compensation to the victim.

Shah’s case is currently pending in Tanahun district court in a similar matter.
