KATHMANDU: The drama ‘An Inspector Calls’ has been re-staged at Sinamangal’s Purano Ghar Theater. The play, which began on Sept 2, was halted in the middle when the actors became infected with dengue.

The drama based on the detective genre was written by JB Priestley in 1945. This British drama functions as a moralist’morality play.’

Although the play was based on the British community of 1912, the theme of the drama remains relevant even after it was translated into Nepali in 2022.

The drama ‘An Inspector Calls,’ translated and directed by Rajkamal Fakir, stars Abhash Adhikari, Bijay Tamrakar, Sharada Adhikari, Sarita Bhujel, Sadeen Luintel, Shishir Siwakoti, Monika Thapa, and others.

The re-staged play ‘An Inspector Calls’ will be performed every day except Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. until Nov 28.
