KATHMANDU: An elderly voter asked CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli to increase the amount of allowance for the elderly during his speech.

An elderly voter greeted Oli as he addressing the UML election meeting in Oli’s home district of Jhapa.

Stopping the speech, Oli said – ‘Hello, hello.’

The voter said – ‘I came to see how you were. ‘Are you okay?’

Oli said – ‘I am fine. It’s good.’

The voter said – ‘The allowance should be increased by 1,000.’

Oli said – ‘Oh, It will undoubtedly be implemented. ok OK.’

The voter said – ‘We will only vote if the allowance is increased.’

Oli said – ‘Okay, okay.’

After hearing the elderly women voter, there was laughter on the stage and in the audience.

Chairperson KP Oli has announced that the old age allowance will be increased to Rs 5,000 per month, claiming that the UML government is providing social security benefits such as the old age allowance.
