Following the death of Shekhar Chandra Thapa, NC nominating Man Bahadur Limbu

KATHMANDU: Man Bahadur Limbu, a resident of Belbari 8, will be nominated by the Nepali Congress (NC) to represent Morang Constituency No. 3 in the State Assembly.

Limbu is a former chairperson of the Nepal Student Union Morang and a central convention representative for the Nepali Congress.

Following the death of Shekhar Chandra Thapa, the candidate for that region and State 1’s Minister of Forest, Environment, and Land Conservation, the Election Commission granted the NC until 1 PM today to nominate a new candidate.

Limbu, who got the ticket as a result of the party’s decision, is preparing to file for nomination. Thapa died at Nobel Hospital on Wednesday morning. Thapa was a member of the ruling coalition.
